Jumping into January: A Huge Thank You for Supporting GOSH
This January, Convey Law set out with a mission: to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) through our Jumping into January campaign. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of everyone who participated, we have raised an incredible £5,867. Our fundraising goal was £6,000, and this achievement brings us closer than ever to reaching a remarkable total of £50,000 raised for GOSH over the years. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, has made a meaningful difference.
At Convey Law, our team truly embraced the challenge. From school runs and dog walks to hikes, Pilates, gym sessions, and Zumba classes, everyone found creative ways to stay active and contribute to this fantastic cause. The enthusiasm and commitment shown by our colleagues were truly inspiring. In addition to personal efforts, we saw generous donations made through office contributions, cake raffles, our JustGiving page, and the Charity Lotto. This combined effort helped us reach this incredible fundraising milestone.
Every day, GOSH provides world-class medical care and support to children and their families. On a typical day, 750 children arrive for treatment, 72 new patients receive care for the first time, and 336 operations are performed. Additionally, 100 seriously ill children and young people are admitted for critical, life-changing treatment. While the NHS funds its day-to-day operations, GOSH relies heavily on charitable donations to provide vital services beyond medical treatment. These include accommodation for families, play areas for children, and counselling and support for those going through incredibly difficult times.
For many families, GOSH is more than just a hospital—it is a place of hope and healing. Rhian, whose daughter Rea has been treated at GOSH, shared her experience of the incredible care and support they received. She expressed deep gratitude for the hospital’s role in her daughter’s recovery, highlighting how, thanks to surgeries and aftercare at GOSH, Rea is now a happy and healthy eight-year-old. Her story is a testament to the impact that fundraising efforts can have on the lives of children and their families.
Although Jumping into January has come to an end, our mission to support GOSH continues. Every donation helps ensure that the hospital can continue providing essential care and support to children in need.
