Charity Lotto
Clients of Convey Law have helped to raise nearly £1 million for charity through their award-winning Charity Lotto customer initiative.
Through this, customers have the chance of winning a monthly prize of £500 towards their legal fees by making a £10 voluntary donation at the end of their property transaction.
This small donation has made a big difference to countless charities including the Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice in Wales and the Mindstep Foundation, who have both received funding from the Lotto.
Convey Law has also supported Macmillan Cancer Research, Children with Cancer UK and the MS Society with donations from the Lotto.
The Lotto is run by Convey Law’s charitable arm, the Conveyancing Foundation, and is open to businesses and practices across the conveyancing, legal and property sectors.
Managing Director of Convey Law, Lloyd Davies, said the Lotto had helped to engrain a charity culture throughout the business, explaining:
“Both our staff and our clients have always supported the charitable aims of the company so raising funds for charities close to our hearts has become very much a part of the company’s culture. We have also supported the many charities we donate to through staff events and fundraising.
“We are extremely grateful to all of our clients who have helped to raise such a considerable amount for charity through their generosity. We recognise and appreciate every single person who has agreed to donate to the Lotto.”
One client who won the £500 prize commented:
“It was really good news that I won. My car had recently broken down and I thought ‘blimey there is all this money going out’ and now I’m actually getting some back! The Lotto is for such a good cause and I was happy to enter into it.”
The Lotto has been recognised at the highest level for its innovation and success, winning a coveted Institute of Directors Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
