Convey Law Engage With the Community to Help the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice!
Convey Law, in conjunction with Monmouth RFC, have engaged with 11 schools and Youth Clubs in the locality to help raise over £25,000.00 for the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice.
Ty Hafan is one of the UK’s leading pediatric palliative care charities and provides care for terminally ill children and their families. The nurses and therapists work around the clock with the children and provide emotional and practical support for family members, to ensure the time the families have together are as precious as possible. The hospice needs to raise over £3,000,000.00 a year from private funding to survive.
Ty Hafan aim do everything in their power to make sure that a short life is a full life, as well as caring for the families involved, they aim to create special memories that last a lifetime.
Ty Hafan launched the Snow Dog Tails in Wales initiative in Cardiff in November 2017. The aim was to engage members of the public, Ty Hafan friends and family and local businesses in a fun activity to get them out in the open air, exploring the city and making their own precious memories along the route.
For ten weeks between 16 September and 26 November 2017, the pack of Snowdogs were unleashed in to the city’s streets, iconic buildings, open spaces as part of this extraordinary public art trail.
Schools and educational groups decorated 100 fibreglass sculptures standing 1.5m tall, kindly donated by sponsors of the initiative to create an incredible art showcase. Convey Law and Monmouth RFC sponsored 2 Snow Dogs and 11 puppy sculptures, which were decorated by schools and youth groups from the Monmouthshire Community.
So far Convey Law, Monmouth RFC and the schools and youth clubs have raised just under £25,000.00 for Ty Hafan Hospice – and they are not stopping there!! The Snow dogs and Puppy Pack will be proudly displayed in Monmouth Shire Hall from Monday the 29th of January 2018 for the Monmouthshire community to enjoy.
