Multiple Sclerosis Society Dress Down Day
Staff at Convey Law are doing their part to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society today, with a dress down day in aid of our Jess Smith’s upcoming supermarathon debut!
Jess will be entering the gruelling South Coast Challenge at the end of August, and has already exceeded her original target of raising £1,200 for her chosen charity – and now our team are chipping in to raise the bar even higher!
The South Coast Challenge involves walking, jogging and running 100 kilometres in two days, but Jess isn’t daunted by the challenge.
“I’m never one to do things in halves, having never ran before I decided to take on Cardiff’s Half Marathon in 2016 to raise money for the MS Society. I absolutely loved the challenge and thought this year it’s time to step it up!”, she said. “So considering the furthest distance I have ever covered is 21km, I am going to need as much motivation and determination to get the training in and complete the challenge!”
Jess’ support for the Multiple Sclerosis Society began when her father was diagnosed with the disease six years ago.
“Our whole world has been turned upside down by this increasing progressive and incurable disease. As a family, we support Dad on a daily basis to live his life to the fullest and manage the horrible symptoms of MS as best as we can,” said Jess. “Supporting the MS Society not only provides the much needed funding towards a cure, it also helps all the suffers get the help and support they need to keep going. Any donations or messages of support will be and are hugely appreciated from not just me but Dad and the whole family.”
Good luck Jess from the entire team at Convey Law – while we’re sure you don’t need any extra motivation, we hope our little contribution helps too!
